JFK Airport Lounges by Terminal: Who Gets In, Day Passes and Priority Pass

JFK has more lounges than any other airport in the United States, and the catch is that they are spread across five terminals with no airside connection between them: the lounge you can use is the one in the building you fly from. Below, terminal by terminal as of September 2026: what is there, who gets in, and where a day pass or Priority Pass card opens the door. Lounge names and access rules change with the terminal moves described in our terminals guide, so treat the airline’s app as the final word on the day.

Terminal 4

The lounge terminal. The American Express Centurion Lounge on Level 4 after security has two bars, a speakeasy, showers and a family room, for Platinum and Centurion cardholders flying from or connecting through Terminal 4. The Chase Sapphire Lounge admits Sapphire Reserve cardholders and Priority Pass holders. The Capital One Lounge, the brand’s largest at 13,500 sq ft, is open 24 hours for Venture X cardholders. Delta runs the Sky Club in Concourse B near Gate 31 and the Delta One Lounge between Concourses A and B for its premium cabin. The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse and the Air India Maharajah Lounge take Priority Pass when space allows, and Minute Suites rent hourly rooms. All are airside.

Terminal 5

JetBlue’s BlueHouse lounge opened in December 2025 and is the terminal’s only lounge, open to JetBlue’s premium passengers, top-tier members and anyone buying a day pass, which starts at $59. There is no Priority Pass lounge in Terminal 5. Terminal 6

The new Terminal 6 opened its first gates in 2026 and its lounge programme follows the airlines moving in: Lufthansa Group has committed to a lounge for its passengers, and JetBlue’s BlueHouse next door in Terminal 5 serves its flights from the connected building. Expect the list to grow through 2027 as more carriers arrive; check the terminal’s own site before relying on a lounge here.

Terminal 7

Terminal 7 is running down as its airlines move to Terminal 6, and its lounge offer has shrunk with them. If your airline is still listed there, check whether its lounge is open on the day or whether you are directed to a partner; Priority Pass coverage in Terminal 7 is limited and changes month to month.

Terminal 8

American Airlines’ terminal has the Admirals Club for members and eligible oneworld passengers, and the three premium lounges added with the Terminal 8 expansion: the Greenwich Lounge for business class, the Soho Lounge for oneworld Emerald and first class, and the Chelsea Lounge at Gate 14, shared with British Airways, for first-class passengers and top-tier members. None sells day passes. Minute Suites offer hourly rooms airside.

Terminal 1

The existing Terminal 1 has a row of airline lounges that between them cover most alliances and take Priority Pass: Air France, Korean Air, Lufthansa Business, Primeclass, Turkish Airlines and VIP ONE. Hours follow each airline’s departure banks, so an early-morning arrival may find them closed. When the New Terminal One opens, its tenants will move their lounges across; until then this is where they are.

Tips

Check the lounge’s hours against your departure time, not just your access: several Terminal 1 lounges open only for their airline’s evening bank. If you have Priority Pass and a choice of terminals for a layover, Terminal 4 has the most doors it opens. And if what you want is a shower, a bed and a meal rather than an armchair, a day room beats a lounge; the TWA Hotel is on the airport and the Minute Suites are airside in Terminals 4 and 8.

Yes, mainly in Terminals 1 and 4. Can I use a lounge in a different terminal from my flight?

Only by leaving security, riding the AirTrain and clearing security again in the other terminal, then reversing the trip; there is no airside link between JFK's terminals. Allow at least 90 minutes for the round trip and treat it as a bad idea unless your layover is long.
