DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport

DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport is the big hotel of the JFK hotel block, and since its 2024 renovation the one that most surprises returning guests: 385 rooms at 135-30 140th Street, about a mile from the terminals, with a free shuttle around the clock from the Federal Circle AirTrain station, a restaurant, a fitness centre and covered valet parking with EV charging. It was the Radisson for years; the bones are the same, the rooms and public areas are not.

Guest Rooms

The 385 rooms have a king bed or two queens, a work desk, a flat-screen TV with streaming, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker and free Wi-Fi. Junior suites add a lounge area. Maximum occupancy is four in the two-queen rooms and junior suites. Cribs are available, and connecting rooms can be requested. The rooms are on the large side for a New York airport hotel, which is the Radisson inheritance the renovation kept.

Breakfast and Dining

Connections, the hotel restaurant off the lobby, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a bar; breakfast is charged unless your rate includes it. The signature warm chocolate-chip cookie is handed over at check-in, which is the DoubleTree brand promise and a small mercy after a red-eye. There is no free breakfast here; the Hampton Inn New York-JFK, a short distance away, includes it if that decides the booking.

Location and Transportation

The hotel is at 135-30 140th Street in Jamaica, Queens, about a mile from the airport, in the block of hotels between the Belt Parkway and the Van Wyck Expressway. JFK bans hotel shuttles from the terminals, so take the AirTrain to Federal Circle and call the hotel for the free shuttle, which runs around the clock and takes about ten minutes; from the hotel it serves each departures terminal in turn. LaGuardia is ten miles away with no shuttle. For Manhattan, ride the AirTrain to Jamaica and the LIRR to Penn Station or Grand Central Madison, or take a taxi at the $70 flat fare. Our hotel shuttles and AirTrain guide explains the Federal Circle routine and the parking guide compares hotel and airport car parks.

Nearby Alternatives

The Marriott New York JFK Airport is the other full-service hotel, closer to the terminals and with a scheduled shuttle every 30 minutes. The Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK Airport is the cheaper Hilton next door, with self-parking at $45 and a shuttle from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm, and the TWA Hotel is the only hotel on the airport itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the DoubleTree JFK the old Radisson?

Yes. The building at 135-30 140th Street traded for years as the Radisson Hotel JFK Airport; it was renovated and reflagged as a DoubleTree by Hilton in 2024. Older reviews under the Radisson name describe a different hotel from the one you will find now.

How do I get to the DoubleTree JFK from the airport?

Take the AirTrain to the Federal Circle station and call the hotel on +1 718-322-2300 for the shuttle, which is free and runs around the clock. The ride takes about ten minutes. From the hotel, the shuttle drops at the departures level of each terminal.

Does the DoubleTree JFK have electric-vehicle charging?

Yes. The secured, covered valet car park has EV chargers billed at a $0.49 flat fee plus $0.40 per kWh; valet parking itself is $56 a day including New York City taxes, with in-and-out privileges. Self-parking is not offered.

What is the check-in time at the DoubleTree JFK?

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am, an hour later than most JFK hotels for arrival and an hour earlier for departure. Digital Key through the Hilton Honors app lets you skip the desk.
